Your customer makes a payment
The ticket buyer follows the payment method and instructions shown during checkout. Provider and merchant details depend on the selected method.
When you're organizing an event, you need to know what happens after a ticket is sold. Here's the process Pinatix currently supports, in plain language.
Four key steps, with records you can follow in the organizer dashboard.
The ticket buyer follows the payment method and instructions shown during checkout. Provider and merchant details depend on the selected method.
Manual M-Pesa and EcoCash transfers are checked before tickets are issued. PayPal orders follow the provider's successful-payment confirmation.
Eligible confirmed sales are recorded against your event. The dashboard tracks applicable service fees, refunds and the balance available for withdrawal.
After account and payout verification, you can request a withdrawal to M-Pesa or EcoCash. Pinatix reviews and processes these transfers manually, recording a settlement reference when paid.
Creating an event listing does not itself require an upfront listing fee. Applicable transaction or service fees affect organizer earnings. Ask us to confirm the rate and any payment-provider charges for your event before publishing.
Confirmed sales, fees, refunds, reversals, existing withdrawals and reserved withdrawal requests can affect the balance shown in your dashboard.
Ask for a fee explanationThere is no guaranteed payout time. Your withdrawal first needs the required identity, payout and account checks. Approved requests are reviewed and settled manually, subject to available funds and payment-provider availability. A paid withdrawal will have a recorded settlement reference.
Organizers can request eligible earnings to M-Pesa or EcoCash, using payout details approved for their account. Changing payout details can trigger fresh verification.
Organizer withdrawal onboarding includes an ID or passport upload and review of the authorized representative and payout account details. A security code is also required when requesting a withdrawal. We may hold a disputed or suspicious request for investigation.
Manual mobile-money orders require transaction verification. Buyers provide a payment reference; a ticket isn't issued until that payment has been confirmed by the authorized organizer.
Refund eligibility depends on the event's terms and circumstances. Refunds, reversals and disputes may change the organizer's available balance. Read our refund policy for the supported process.
Yes. Read the Organizer Service Agreement before creating your event. The agreement sets out responsibilities around payments, disputes and withdrawals.
Important: We explain the current Pinatix process here, not a guaranteed payout schedule or a promise that every payment method is available for every transaction. Always confirm the applicable terms and payment details for your own event.
You should feel comfortable with the money side before making your first sale.
